Cajun-Spiced Grilled Chicken Wings with Jalapeño Ranch

Description

Smoky grilled chicken wings coated in bold Cajun seasoning and served with a cool, creamy homemade jalapeño ranch. Perfect for BBQs, game day, family dinners, and summer cookouts.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken wings, split
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup buttermilk
  • 1 jalapeño, seeded and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • 1 tablespoon chopped dill
  • 1 tablespoon chopped chives
  • 1 garlic clove

 

  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels.
  2. Toss them with olive oil and all the Cajun seasonings.
  3. Let the wings rest for 20 minutes.
  4. Blend all the jalapeño ranch ingredients until smooth.
  5. Refrigerate the ranch while preparing the grill.
  6. Preheat the grill to 375–400°F (190–205°C).
  7. Grill the wings over indirect heat for about 20 minutes.
  8. Move the wings to direct heat and grill until crispy.
  9. Cook until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  10. Rest the wings for 5 minutes.
  11. Serve with the chilled jalapeño ranch. 

Notes

  • Pat the wings dry before seasoning for crispier skin.
  • Adjust the amount of jalapeño to control the heat.
  • Fresh herbs give the ranch the best flavor.
  • Leftovers keep well in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
